What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on the user's device during browsing. They are used to remember preferences, sessions and, in the case of analytics cookies, to collect statistical data on site usage.
Cookies used on this site
The protolab.it website uses two categories of cookies:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| pcc_consent | Technical | Saves the user's cookie preference in the browser (localStorage), so the banner is not shown on every visit. | Until revoked |
| _ga | Analytics | Main Google Analytics 4 cookie. Anonymously identifies user sessions to count visits. | 2 years |
| _ga_RXWSR9BTCR | Analytics | Session cookie associated with the GA4 property for protolab.it (G-RXWSR9BTCR). Tracks the current session. | 2 years |
We do not use profiling cookies, marketing cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to collect anonymous statistical data on site visits (pages visited, session duration, approximate geographic origin).
Data collected by GA4 is processed by Google under their own Privacy Policy. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation enabled by default in GA4.
To disable Google Analytics tracking you can install the browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Managing consent
Analytics cookies are only activated after your explicit consent, given via the banner that appears on your first visit. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking Manage cookie preferences.
How to manage cookies in your browser
You can control and/or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to:
— block all third-party cookies
— delete cookies already saved
— receive a notification before a cookie is stored
